What you will do:

Launched over 2 years ago, Skilling, a relatively new player in the crowded FX and CFD sector, with its own proprietary trading platform is looking to hire a locally based Compliance Officer / Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) who would ideally already has been approved by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA) / Seychelles Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) or has the qualities and qualifications to be approved and who will work alongside our Compliance teams globally to ensure Skilling has a strong regulatory framework.

The Compliance Officer reports directly to the Head of Compliance (EU) and indirectly to the Global Head of Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with the provisions of any existing or upcoming FSA regulations and fulfilling his/her duties as the MLRO
  • Representing the local office as MLRO and performing STR filing and various other regulatory reporting
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating as needed all compliance policies and manuals including Anti-Money Laundering regulations and issues, and notification to the company of any regulatory changes.
  • Responsible for monitoring the day-to-day operations of AML/CFT policies, and respond promptly to any reasonable request for information made by the regulatory or law enforcement bodies.
  • Responsible for all the AML reporting requirements and operate within the required standards of the local regulator.
  • Responsible for ensuring that adequate arrangements are in place for a high-standard AML/CFT awareness and training of employees.
  • Ensuring that all company activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and laws.
  • Acting as a central point of contact for all information on compliance-related issues (e.g. breach of regulation, non-respect of procedures, conflict of interest).
  • Tracking compliance items on new product or service launches.
  • Supervise compliance operations of new payment service providers.
  • Collaborating with global compliance teams compliance operations.
  • Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses, and creating sound internal controls to monitor adherence to policies and procedures.

Your Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: University Bachelor’s degree in Law or related
  • Experience: 2 years’ experience in a role within a Compliance/ AML Department.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks.
  • Proven track record in leadership, familiarity with operational, financial and regulations is a must.
  • Professional certification is an added advantage (ACAMS, ICA Diploma etc.)
  • Previous work experience in an FSA Licenced Entity shall be considered an asset and such applicants shall be given preference.
