Autogrill was founded in 1977 by Giovanni Roveda. The company started out as a small kiosk in the Milan airport, selling snacks and drinks to travelers. In 1987, Autogrill went public and was listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Today, Autogrill is a leading player in the global food & beverage industry. The company operates in over 40 countries and employs over 60,000 people. Autogrill has a strong presence in Europe, North America, and Asia, and is continually expanding its operations around the world.
The Autogrill share price has had its ups and downs over the years but has generally trended upwards. The highest Autogrill share price on record is €10.18, reached in October of 2017. The lowest Autogrill share price on record is €1.50, reached in March of 2009.
Autogrill is committed to reducing its environmental impact. To achieve these goals, Autogrill has implemented a number of initiatives, including energy efficiency measures, water conservation measures, and waste reduction measures.
Autogrill's main competitors are fast food chains such as McDonald's and Burger King, casual dining restaurants such as Olive Garden and Chili's, and other food service providers such as Aramark and Sodexo.
Outright share purchase: When you buy Autogrill shares outright, you become a shareholder in the company and are entitled to any dividends that are paid out. You also have the potential to profit from any capital growth in the shares themselves. However, you will also be exposed to the full extent of any share price movements, both positive and negative.
CFD trading: When you trade Autogrill shares via a CFD, you never actually own the underlying shares. Instead, you are simply speculating on the direction of the share price. If the price moves in your favour, you will make a profit; if it moves against you, you will incur a loss. Because you don't own the shares themselves, you are not entitled to any dividends. However, CFD trading does offer some advantages over outright share purchases, including leverage and the ability to go short as well as long.
